What does the price include?
Excellent en-suite accommodation, most meals (including wine). The use of chairs, boards, light-weight easels. Transfers between local airports or stations to the hotel on your day of arrival and departure. Each of our holidays are slightly different regarding exactly what is included, so please look at the individual brochures for each course.
Are lunches organised?
We organise light lunches when we are painting on location at cheap prices for those who wish to join the group, offering local dishes presented to you on arrival with drinks. You only have to tell us the same morning if you want to join.
What isn't included in price?
Lunches. Flights to holiday destination from your home. Travel, cancellation or personal insurance. Personal art material.
Are the painting locations safe?
We only go to safe locations but in bigger towns we recommend you only take your painting gear and enough money for the expenses of the day. Don’t carry your passports with you in case you lose them or there’s an unforeseen circumstance. Only carry a photocopy of your passport with you. Hotels provide safes to keep your personal items.
What will the weather be like?
The holidays are planned at good weather periods when it’s not too hot or too cold, however you can check the weather info underneath the menu panel.
What clothes will bring?
You should bring thin clothes for warmer days, a couple of thicker sweaters for the evenings and some light waterproof jackets in case of wind or rain. Remember that evenings by the sea can be chilly. Don’t forget your swimsuits as well as you’ll have the opportunity to have a swim in the sea or in the hotel swimming pool normally. Please remember to take a hat and some sun screen
Can my friend or partner come along?
Non painting partners or friends are very welcome to join the courses. We’ll suggest activities to do while you are painting and they can join in all excursions. They have a discount according to every course.
Can I come on my own?
The big advantage of our painting holidays is that they’re suitable for couples, groups of friends or single people. There’s always a very friendly atmosphere between course members as you share a common interest and you’re made to feel at ease from the first moment. At the end of the week you will have made many friends and treasure the memories. We have special prices for groups.
Will I have to pay a single supplement?
All hotels have nice en-suite rooms but prices are based on a double occupancy, therefore we charge only the amount that the hotel charges extra for single occupancy.
Can I arrive at my location before and/or after the holiday?
Your painting holiday begins when you are met at the airport but you can stay longer or arrive early if you wish. We will be pleased to organise your extra nights or transfers for you at no extra cost but these are not included in the course price. Let us know about your travel plans in advance.
Can I come in my own car?
Some painters use their cars or vans to come to the painting destinations. We will send you some travel instructions on demand.
I cannot walk very far, is that a problem?
Our coaches leave us as near as possible to your painting locations, however there’s usually a little bit of walking involved but on easy levelled ground. If you have some mobility problems please contact us and we’ll advise you if that particular course is suitable for you.
Will I be met at the airport?
Transfers are normally arranged in groups of 3-5 people, so let us know about your time of arrival and we’ll tell you when a taxi or group coach will meet you with your name clearly written on a card.
